LiveWriter

So, I’m trying out the new LiveWriter on my blog.  Seems to be working great.  Another tool to make my life easier…and thanks in part to some whining (in a good way) from Tim, it’s got some really nice new features!

While I’m at it, here is a funny video of two of my kids and their cousin getting tossed off of a horse under the care of their grandfather (my dad).  Don’t worry, they’re all fine, and it’s not the horse’s fault…what are you supposed to do if you are a horse and someone’s feet are hitting your flanks?  🙂

Video: The Fall

And here’s proof that they’re ok…this picture was taken several months after the fall…all three boys in tact.

You’ve probably guessed by now that the whole post was an excuse to try out the latest version.  I’m not ashamed…

Anyway, I digress.  If you use a blog, you owe it to yourself to check out Live Writer.

Channel Islands Pictures

I’ve put together a lengthy album from a dive trip we took to the Channel Islands in California earlier this year.  These are from the northern Channel Islands (Santa Cruz Island) and our diving was done from the Truth Aquatics boat, the Conception.  Good times.

Click on the pic below to go to the album.

Let me know if I got anything wrong…:)

Is that really a sport?

After jabbering on for years about what is and what is not a sport (c’mon, guys, you know you think of this everytime you see figure skating), I realized that some of my friends also had similar opinions and thoughts on this subject.  I came to the conclusion, with the help of some of my buddies, that there was a need to freely exchange ideas about the criteria for calling an activity a sport, as well as a repository for these criteria that were generally accepted and agreed upon (think Man-Law).  That’s why I recently opened isthisasport.com

If you are so inclined, take a look…and even sign up and participate if you wish.
